Why Standard Retail Sizes Fail
Standard off-the-rack suits assume every man is a symmetrical mannequin. In reality, human bodies are wonderfully asymmetrical:
- One shoulder is often lower than the other due to carrying bags or sports.
- Posture ranges from erect military stances to forward-leaning desk posture.
- Chest-to-waist drop rarely matches standard factory ratios.
When you purchase off-the-rack clothing, you are forced to choose a size that fits your widest dimension, leaving excess fabric billowing elsewhere. At Own U Fashion, we engineer the suit around your specific skeletal frame.
The Protocol
Our 30-Point Measurement Protocol
During your fitting at our Central Park Towers atelier or via our Visiting Tailor Concierge, we record thirty precise anatomical markers:

Upper Torso
Neck circumference, shoulder width, point-to-point back width, chest apex, chest circumference, and overarm measure.

Posture & Pitch
Shoulder slope angle (normal, square, or sloped), neck tilt angle, arm rotation, and back curvature.

Midsection
True natural waist, trouser waistband height, belly protrusion factor, and hip seat circumference.

Arms & Sleeves
Left sleeve length, right sleeve length (measured independently to within 0.5 cm), bicep width, and wrist opening.

Legs & Trousers
Outseam length, inseam length, thigh circumference, knee width, ankle opening, and front/back rise balance.
Posture Analysis
Posture Analysis & The Baste Fitting
Measurements alone do not guarantee a master fit; posture dynamics are equally vital. Our intermediate baste fitting allows us to observe how the jacket drapes while you walk, sit, and move naturally. Any tension lines or fabric wrinkles are eliminated before final buttonholes are cut and seams are permanently closed.

- What if I gain or lose weight after my suit is finished?
- Every Own U Fashion bespoke suit is built with generous internal fabric inlays along the jacket side seams, trouser seat, and waist. Our garments can comfortably be let out or taken in by up to two full sizes.
- Do you offer complimentary size adjustments?
- Yes. All bespoke and made-to-measure commissions include our 30-Day Perfect Fit Guarantee, during which all fine-tuning adjustments are performed completely free of charge.
